Lights Out by Ted Koppel

It's like a factual breakdown of Die Hard 4, the one with the 'Fire Sale' when all the services we take for granted, especially electricity, are taken from us. If you don't start planning your own emergency shelter/supplies within the first few pages of this book you are stronger than me, as it really makes you realise how woefully under prepared the average person is. I often laugh at the doomsday people who have underground bunkers etc but in reality it would not take a nuclear explosion to cause the kind of problems Koppel is talking about here. Worth a read but expect to be at the supermarket shortly after.
