July Plans - A trip to San Diego and a Joe Abercrombie signing

I was super excited to learn Joe Abercrombie would be doing a US tour for his fantastic book Half a King and was planning on going to the Mysterious Galaxy in Redondo Beach. However with the closing of this shop, and the wonderful timing of attending a wedding in San Diego on the 26th of July I have decided to hang out for an extra day and go to the Mysterious Galaxy in SD on the 27th and get some books signed there!

I will be getting my UK 1st Ed of Heroes and Half a KIng signed. I will also be buying an Abercrombie book or two from Mysterious Galaxy, one of which will be the next book involved in my Giveaways!

I am also hoping to meet the infamous Patrick from MG, and for all you Red Rising and Pierce Brown fans, I may even ask if I can take a photo of the first page of the super early copy that he received, from distance of course!

I have also started writing for the awesome Fantasy Faction Website. I will have an atricle featured on http://fantasy-faction.com/ once a month or so.

My first contributions will be a joint effort on reviewing the Rogues anthology that was edited by GRRM and after that, the Shadows Beneath, a collection of four stories put together by Brandon Sanderson and his writing group that looks at the writing process fom start to finish. I was lucky enough to catch the tweet from Sanderson when it came out and ordered one of the signed, dated and lined editions limited to 200 in the twenty minutes before the sold out.

Anyway looks to be an exciting month coming up with some good books ahead!
